Nino Ferrer sang it so well! A century earlier, Van Gogh had captured its essences – the south of France is first and foremost Provence. It is truly a distinct region in our beautiful country. Its landscape, climate and character make it a memorable destination. We wanted to provide an overview for all those considering settling there, but be careful – the south is not just Provence. We will be covering other regions such as Nouvelle Aquitaine and shortly Languedoc. For now, here are six locations not to be missed if you want to become a villa owner in the south of France.

LES ISSAMBRES

This seaside resort is situated halfway between Sainte Maxime and Saint Raphaël. In the same bay as Saint Tropez, directly opposite it. It is also possible to take a water shuttle to get there. The town is known for its sublime Garonette beach and its coves slightly further to the east. It is in fact the seafront of the town of Roquebrunes-sur-Argen, and what a seafront! An ideal site for becoming a property owner in the Bay of St-Tropez.

CAP D’ANTIBES

Much further east and closer to Nice is the town of Antibes and its cape – it is impossible to do a tour of villas in the south of France without this cape. It is actually a peninsula, given its size. And not just any peninsula, since the famous town of Juan-les-Pins is located nearby.
