Our evolution through the years
Sextant began in London in 2005 with a simple idea: to put French property in front of the people looking for it from abroad. The British company spoke first to buyers in Britain, then to a far wider audience — the site is published in nine languages today.
The French side followed. Sextant France grew around a network of more than a hundred local property consultants and partner developers, each rooted in their own region and bound by the code of the SNPI, France’s leading professional body for estate agency. That local presence also gives every property real standing with French buyers.
The two halves complete each other. One carries the property abroad and stays with the international buyer from first enquiry to the final deed; the other knows the market, the ground and the customs at home. For a seller, it means being seen on both sides of the Channel at once.
Our websites and apps tell what came next. Their evolution since 2005 traces two decades of change in the industry: digital habits accelerated, expectations shifted, and the care given to experience and design now counts for as much as the property on the page.
