The French Vexin Regional Nature Park
The Vexin regional nature park is located in the north west of Île-de-France.

The Vexin regional nature park is located in the north west of Île-de-France. It is bounded by the Seine to the south, the Oise to the east, the Epte to the west, and the Troësne and the Esches to the north. It extends over approximately 7 hectares of greenery and borders around a hundred communes in Val d’Oise and Yvelines, offering rich and diverse landscapes and impressive architectural heritage.
The Valley:
The Vexin dominates the region by about a hundred metres, marked by a highly developed agricultural activity where wheat, barley and rapeseed crops predominate. The Vexin plateau, cut through by valleys with contrasting profiles, offers surprisingly verdant landscapes. The hills of Arthies, Rosne and Marine further enrich its landscapes, bringing a wooded touch to the surrounding plains. There are sites of national interest where various natural habitats and protected species are represented.
The richness of its heritage:
Its architectural heritage is also very rich, with all architectural styles coexisting, witnesses to different periods and occupations. The remarkable architecture of castles, churches and large agricultural estates in the valley blends with the simplicity of the rural Vexin landscape dotted with crosses, mills, fountains and washhouses. This heritage richness is today recognised and valued, as each village in the Vexin has one or more monuments protected as Historical Monuments.
