In this July month, the oldest European jazz festival presents its 59th edition, attractive and full of surprises.
As every year, the famous worldwide music and jazz festival takes place by the sea, bringing together the most popular artists, at the Pinède Gould in Juan-les-Pins.
This festival brings together all musical genres and thus attracts a wide audience. Indeed, on stage will perform musicians of great renown, as well as beginners, iconoclasts or classic musicians known in the world of Jazz since the 60s!
A forerunner in Europe, Jazz à Juan remains an impressive festival that blends artistic culture with other trends.
The festival presents itself as a traditional event that perpetuates the memory of jazz and its eternal renewal through young artists such as: Diana Krall, James Carter, Salif Keita, Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Miller, or Joshua Redman.
Beyond concerts on the main stage, the Tourist Office of Antibes Juan-les-Pins honours Jazz with concerts dedicated to amateurs in the streets of the city: The Best Of Off.
Several musicians and ensembles are scheduled for the programme, accordingly.
As a reminder, the “Jazz à Juan Révélations” festival was launched in 2003. It is an evening that salutes and encourages the jazz movement so that it endures and retains its traditional side while modernising over the years.
