Decorating your home for Halloween without breaking the bank

With its mix of frights and sweets, Halloween evening gets both children and adults excited. To celebrate Halloween properly, there is no need to spend all your savings to achieve a successful decoration. With paper, glue, pumpkins and a good dose of imagination, you can very well celebrate this holiday and find ideas that are both simple and original.

Bats and ghosts to cut out

To decorate your interior with realistic and scary Halloween figures, you simply need to use items within reach. You can, for example, decorate your living room wall with bats cut out from fairly thick black paper and stick them with tape. The overall effect will be quite spectacular. Of course, it is possible to draw or print other figures to stick on the wall, such as zombies, spiders or ghosts. You can also cut out mini-ghosts from a white sheet and place them on streamers hung throughout the house.

Lighting effects and scary decorations

A Halloween decoration is nothing without good lighting. To create an eerie atmosphere, you can favour coloured bulbs or neon tubes to create shadowed areas in a room. Complement this decoration with the classic pumpkins that you will light with candles. You will simply need to draw threatening faces on them to impress the children. To scare your neighbours, also think about adorning your balcony with figurines draped in muslin that you will suspend in the air. Finally, you can also cut out some doll heads that you will hang in the living room.

So there is no reason to empty your wallet to achieve your Halloween decoration. These few simple and cheap ideas can inspire you, but you can also add your own creative touch to perfect the whole thing.
