Saut Hermès is an important time of the year for all horse enthusiasts. It is an opportunity to meet professionals and discuss the latest trends. Above all, it allows attendees to witness top-level competitions and enjoy a breathtaking equestrian spectacle.
Saut Hermès celebrated its tenth edition, since its launch in 2009. The company has returned to its roots, having always been close to the equestrian world. Indeed, in the 1950s, competitions were organised with the help of Hermès.
The event is held at the Grand Palais, on a temporary arena. The latter is the star of the competitions. It is carefully prepared and maintained so that the events can run smoothly. The physical integrity of the horses, and therefore their performance, depends on it. The sand must be of good quality, with perfect dimensions to ensure the spectacle. The arena is smoothed between each competition, the humidity of the air is checked, everything is under the control of the organisers.
The main event, the Hermès Grand Prix, takes place on Sunday afternoon. The height of the obstacles and the demands placed on the riders make it one of the most difficult events on the international circuit. It was won by French rider Simon Delestre in 34.68 seconds.
On Saturday evening, from 7pm, the event is open to the public. An event is organised, the Faubourg CSI 5*. It is a progressive difficulty speed race without a jump-off with a Joker. Each rider rides only one horse. Swiss rider Pius Schwizer won this event in 44 seconds.
