This is a particularly atypical property that has just come onto the Parisian real estate market: a Haussmann apartment with furnished attic rooms, unchanged since the 19th century!

The owner of an apartment located on the top floor of a Haussmann building in the 5th arrondissement, who was recently carrying out works in preparation for the resale of his property, was surprised to discover and uncover attic rooms above his apartment.

It was while moving a large wardrobe and preparing to work on the walls behind it that the workers commissioned by the owner revealed a narrow staircase giving access to the attic. The owner of the property was simply unaware of the existence of this space, which the previous owner never mentioned, and which does not appear on any of the plans in his possession.

On discovering these attic rooms, the current owner very quickly understood that he was dealing with a quasi-historical space, since furniture and belongings belonging to the occupant are still in place… apparently dating from the end of the 19th century.

The space literally bathes in its original condition, with furniture and belongings that appear at first glance to date from the second half of the 19th century, although they have not yet been appraised. The Parisian owner of this four-bedroom apartment and its atypical attic rooms has chosen not to explore this space any further, a genuine** time capsule,** but to leave it in the precise state it was in at the time of discovery.

He intends to capitalise on this space steeped in history and authenticity to better value his entire property. The future buyer will thus have the honour of discovering these attic rooms for themselves and all the belongings stored there.

Nothing is currently known about the former occupant of the premises, except that he appears to have had a pronounced taste for painting. Several elements suggest that he was working on numerous canvases, and many works are stored in trunks or boxes placed in the room.

Whatever his activity, everything suggests that the occupant left the premises from one day to the next, never having the opportunity to return to collect his belongings.

The first visitors say they are struck by emotion on entering these attic rooms that come directly from another time. There is no doubt that the owner of this apartment has found a good way to generate interest and curiosity around his property.
