French summer sales: Bargain time is here!
Today, at 8 am, the summer sales have started in France. All French girls have been waiting for the opening of shops this Wednesday 25th of June to rush into all clothing shops and to be the first to buy their favourite trousers, top or accessories that they already chose one week ago.
So, the summer sales have started this Wednesday at 8am and will last until Tuesday 29th of July. This is one of the most popular events which take place in France in summer time! Clothes, shoes, bags and accessories, everything will be discounted all over the country.
In Paris as well as all cities in France, shops, supermarkets and shopping malls open with exceptional price reductions. This is the opportunity for you to offer luxurious accessories. From chic boutiques to everyday clothing shops, all shops have the same slogan: pamper yourself and do business!
However, people living in certain areas in the South-East and the Cote d’Azur region will have to wait a bit more this summer as they are border regions (Summer sales in Spain for example don’t start at the same time than in France). In the regions of Alpes-Maritimes (Nice) and Pyrénées-Orientales (Perpignan), the summer sales begin on the 2nd of July and end on the 5th of August 2014. For Corsica region, the summer sales start from the 9th of July to the 12th August.
Moreover, since 2009, shops can have two weeks of sales more per year out from those dates. The two weeks chosen can be consecutive or not. The only condition is that the flexible sales periods must finish a month before the normal sales.
A survey said that 76% of people go for summer sales, but 86% just buy something they would not buy at any other time. This is the opportunity for you to restock your wardrobe and add a dash of French chic into your life.
