Feeling like redecorating your French property? Many owners perceive it as a huge project and often aren’t sure that they have what it takes to redecorate their home. In fact, the process is simpler than it looks; just follow your taste, budget, and these 5 steps.

1st Sort and Empty spaces. In order to be able to imagine a new atmosphere for every room, you must sort your trinkets and unused items. Doing so will help you remember how spacious these rooms were, before all these furniture was placed!

2nd Select ideas to redecorate your home. You can find a lot of creative ideas in magazines, TV shows, or even some shops. You can then select the ones that best match your desired house atmosphere.

3rd You can bring traditional elements from the Region you are in. France has many interesting traditional decorations such as Provencal elements if you live in the South,  Porcelain if you are close to Limoges, or wood elements in the Alps

4th Purchase the chosen elements. If you chose to go for design rather than for tradition, many shops including a wide range of budgets, from Ikea, to Habitat, to Maison du Monde or more fancy designers, can help you redecorate your new loft… You can also consider reupholstering the furniture you already have. If you are creative and dexterous, you can even purchase material and make your own decorations, for example.

5th Implement. Every space must have one element that will catch the eye, such as a low table, a fireplace… For instance, small rooms will look more spacious with mirrors, but be careful, too many of them will make you feel uncomfortable.

You can experiment different configurations for your furnitures’ placement. One way of doing this would be to follow Feng Shui’s philosophy, which means placing furniture at specific places in order to set up more serenity in your living space …
Have a great time redecorating your Home
