Notice To Cocoa Lovers, The Salon Du Chocolat Is Coming!

From October 30th to November 3rd, the biggest world event dedicated to chocolate and cocoa is coming back to Paris. An unmissable rendez-vous for enthusiasts and gourmands, this is 5 days of treat for the taste buds and pupils that await you.

For this 25th edition, more than 500 participants representing 60 different countries are expected at this show. The biggest names in chocolate and pastry will be present as well as many cocoa producing countries. On the program: live demonstrations of recipes by the greatest chefs, parades of chocolate dresses, prestigious contests, exhibitions of very chocolate works, shows and live performances, Junior area, pastry workshops of all kinds, conferences and book signing sessions. What make you spend a strong day in chocolate!

The opening night:

To discover the Salon du Chocolat “as a VIP”, enjoy the Preview Night on Tuesday, October 29 from 19h! An unprecedented show in the form of a parade-concert will retrace the great saga of chocolate, from the discovery of cocoa 500 years ago to the present day. The most beautiful chocolate dresses will also march to the rhythm of the Calema group. This festive and solidarity evening, which marks the 25th anniversary of the Salon, is organized in favor of the Children of Africa Foundation and open to all for a fee of 35 euros.

The parade of chocolate dresses:

Every day at 5 pm, do not miss the parade of chocolate dresses where renowned couturiers collaborate with the greatest chocolatiers. The latter will also be exhibited throughout the show, outside of the show hours. Unprecedented and creative creations for what we can easily call the haute chocolaterie!

The Salon du Chocolat Junior:

A fun, tasty and educational experience, it is the opportunity for the youngest to learn while feasting. It is an adventure that will allow children and their families to discover chocolate through free introductory baking workshops.

The 100% pastry space:

Great novelty of this 2019 edition: a 100% pastry space sponsored by Philippe Conticini. Nearly 2500m2 of exhibitions, animations and demonstrations dedicated to the art of pastry will be at your disposal. The greatest chefs will meet there for gourmet demonstrations as well as book signings. An exhibition of the most beautiful Christmas logs, as well as a glass laboratory presenting the creations of prestigious pastry chefs will be present. Finally, a tasting room will allow you to appreciate your favorites while attending the International Trophy of French Pastry where professionals and amateurs can participate.

The Pastry Show:

Exceptional master classes taught by more than 50 recognized chefs who unveil their best chocolate recipes in the company of Mercotte, the favorite French blogger.

A little history…

In 1994, Sylvie Douce, leader of an event agency, has the idea to create a salon around chocolate. During a dinner, she meets François Jeantet, architect and food critic, who shares his passion: that of chocolate. The following year, their idea was born and the first Salon du Chocolat opened with 40 exhibitors at the Eiffel Branly space. Successful bet, more than 40,000 visitors jostle to attend this gourmet event! The following years and the growing success of the Salon, it exported to New York in 1998 and Tokyo in 2000. From 2005, the conquest of the largest French and international cities is engaged … Today, the Salon du Chocolate is about fifteen annual events spread over four continents. In Paris, 110000 visitors and 230 exhibitors from around the world flock to attend this crazy idea become a must.
