St Patrick’s Day is a Christian feast which celebrates the patron saint of Ireland. It is celebrated on March 17 in Ireland but also everywhere in the world where an Irish diaspora exists. Let’s see how to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in France.

St Patrick was Ireland’s evangelizer. He explained the Holy Trinity concept to the Irish people on the Rock of Cashel, thanks to a clover, making it Ireland’s emblem. The legend goes on saying that it is during this time that he chased all snakes from the island, epitomizing the conversion of the Irish people (snakes representing the celtic myths assimilated to Satan). Each year, Irish citizens put a clover on their buttonhole to commemorate this day. Be careful, St Patrick’s day is not Ireland’s National Holiday.
