October release of en primeur wines
If you are around in the Aude this month for your property search and have freetime, you can take part in the Release of en primeur wine. It is a traditional event, which you can see in most of the towns in the Aude departement. You will be able to discover and taste the famous local wines, namely Blanquette du Limoux and Cremant. The blending of Mauzac, Chardonnay and Chenin vintages gave birth to these AOC wines.You can also have a look to the vineyard of Monty Waldin as featured on Channel4 (Chateau Monty). His vineyard is located in Saint-Martin-de-Fenouillet, east of Perpignan. He is an expert on biodynamic winemaking.
