Access

Menton is close to Nice - Cote d’Azur Airport. There are several ways to reach the town, by car, bus, train or helicopter. The town is served by the SNCF-TGV and has a central bus station which also works during the night on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and the day before French bank holidays.

Activities

The famous “Lemon festival” is organised during the last 3 weeks of February. It comprises citrus fruit exposition with gorgeous arrangements, seaside parades, in the Promenade du Soleil, where golden fruit coaches parade on the streets every Sunday with costumed people and brass bands. Furthermore, there are night-shows with the moonlight parade and its folk groups and dancers. On Friday’s night, Jardin Bioves offers faerie light and sound show.

The music festival is held from 1st to 18th August. This festival is an important event in French music because world well-known music artists take part in this event every year which is going in the seafront basilique Saint-Michel Archange.

In July, there is a 4-day Tango festival with seaside concerts, shows, balls and dance classes. This year, there will be a mix between old fashion Tango and modern music. You will take part in an event with acoustic and electronic music. Besides, you could appreciate authentic and new way of dancing Tango.

Menton has a sea-facing casino in the famous “Promenade du Soleil”, rear “Jardin Bioves” which offers new rooms, interior design and services. Moreover, there are lots of private beaches. 

Food and Drink

In Menton you should find lots of culinary specialities. Most of them are with lemon, which is Menton’s symbol. Pichade (like tomato and onion pizza) and Socca with Mentonnaise fougasse (huge and thin crepes made with chickpeas) are Menton’s typical meals too.
